InstiKit allows every user to choose their preferred appearance by switching between Light Mode and Dark Mode.
Your selection is stored with your user account, allowing you to use the interface in the theme that is most comfortable for you. Changing the theme only affects your account and does not impact other users.
How to Change the Theme
- Click your Profile Avatar in the top-right corner.
- Select Choose Dark Mode.
- Turn the option On to enable Dark Mode.
- Turn the option Off to return to Light Mode.
The interface updates immediately without requiring you to log out.
Light Mode
Light Mode is the default appearance of InstiKit.
It provides a bright interface that is suitable for well-lit environments such as classrooms, offices, and administrative desks.
Use Light Mode if you prefer:
- High visibility in daylight
- Printed document style appearance
- Traditional application interface
Dark Mode
Dark Mode replaces the bright interface with darker colors throughout the application.
Many users prefer Dark Mode when working for extended periods or in low-light environments.
Dark Mode may help:
- Reduce eye strain in dim environments
- Improve comfort during long working sessions
- Reduce glare on the screen
- Improve battery life on some OLED displays
User Preference
The selected theme is saved as part of your user preferences.

- Each user can choose their own theme.

- Your preference is remembered the next time you sign in.
