How to make an admit card online

Four steps, a few minutes, straight from your browser or phone.

  1. 1

    Add school & exam

Enter your school name, logo and the exam name, such as Annual Examination 2026-27.

  2. 2

Add the date, subject and time of every paper. The day of the week fills in automatically.

  3. 3

    Add students

Type one student's details and photo, or upload the class list from Excel with photos.

  4. 4

    Print or save as PDF

Choose one or two admit cards per page, then print or save the whole class as one PDF.

Everything a school admit card needs

Print-ready hall tickets without Word templates, design software or a subscription.

Exam schedule table

Add every paper's date, subject and time. The day of the week is filled in for you, in the date format you choose.

Student photo

Upload a photo for each student, or leave a box on the card to paste a passport-size photo by hand.

Choose the fields

Show roll number, admission number, class, date of birth, parent's name, exam centre and seat, or add your own.

Rename every label

Change “Admit Card” to “Hall Ticket”, “Roll No” to “Symbol No” or “Subject” to “Paper” — every heading is editable.

Exam-day instructions

Print numbered rules for the exam hall, such as reporting time and items that are not allowed.

Signatures & barcode

Add up to three signatures, such as student, class teacher and principal, plus a roll number barcode.

Bulk from Excel

Upload a class list to create up to 500 admit cards at once, with photos matched by roll number.

One or two per page

Print a full-page hall ticket, or two admit cards per A4 or Letter sheet with a dashed cut line.

School admit card format

A standard school admit card, also called a hall ticket or roll number slip, has six parts. This generator includes all of them.

  1. 1

    School header

School name, logo and address or board affiliation, so the card is recognised at the exam hall.

  2. 2

    Exam name & session

For example “Half-Yearly Examination 2026-27” or “Pre-Board Examination”.

  3. 3

    Student details

Name, roll number, class and section, admission number, date of birth and parent's name.

  4. 4

    Photograph

A recent passport-size photo that invigilators use to verify the student.

  5. 5

    Date sheet

Date, day, subject and timing of every paper, with a column for the invigilator to sign.

  6. 6

    Instructions & signatures

Exam-hall rules, then the signatures of the student, class teacher and principal.

Generate admit cards in bulk from Excel

Issuing hall tickets for a whole class or the entire school? Upload one spreadsheet and the bulk admit card generator creates a card for every student — up to 500 at a time, all with the same date sheet.

  • Add a Name column — it is the only required field.
  • Columns such as Roll No, Class, Father Name and Exam Centre are matched automatically, and you can remap any column.
  • Name photos after roll numbers, like 1024.jpg, then select them all at once — each is matched to its admit card.
  • Works with .xlsx, .csv and .ods files exported from Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice.

Admit card generator FAQ

Yes. You can create, print and save as many admit cards and hall tickets as you need without paying, creating an account or adding a watermark.

A school admit card usually shows the school name and logo, the exam name and session, the student's name, roll number, class and photo, the date, subject and time of every paper, exam-day instructions, and the signatures of the class teacher and principal.

Switch to the "Bulk from Excel" tab, download the sample template, add one student per row with a "Name" column, then upload the file. Columns such as Roll No, Class and Father Name are matched to the card automatically, and up to 500 admit cards are created at once.

Every admit card in one batch shares the same exam schedule. When classes sit different papers, upload one Excel file per class and change the schedule before printing each batch.

Add a "Photo" column with each student's photo file name, such as 1024.jpg, then select all the photos at once. Photos are matched by file name, or by roll number when there is no Photo column. Without a photo, the card shows a box to paste one.

You can print one admit card per A4 or Letter page, or two per page with a dashed cut line between them. Two per page saves paper for short timetables; one per page leaves room for a long schedule and detailed instructions.

No. Photos, logos and signatures stay in your browser and are never uploaded. Your spreadsheet is read once to extract the rows and is never saved.

Yes. InstiKit School ERP builds admit cards from exam schedules and student records, with photos and roll numbers filled in, so the exam office never retypes a class list.
