Standard ID card sizes

The standard ID card size is CR80 — 85.6 × 54 mm or 3.375 × 2.125 inches. Pixel sizes are at 300 DPI for print.

Yes. You can design, print and save as many ID cards as you need without paying, creating an account or adding a watermark.

Most ID cards use the CR80 size of 85.6 × 54 mm (3.375 × 2.125 inches), the same as a credit card. You can also pick CR79, CR100, A7 or badge sizes, or enter any custom width and height in millimetres, centimetres, inches or pixels.

Switch to the "Bulk from Excel" tab, download the sample template, add one person per row with a "Name" column, then upload the file. Each column can be mapped to a field on the card, and up to 500 cards are created at once.

Add a "Photo" column with each person's photo file name, such as STU-001.jpg, then select all the photos at once. Photos are matched by file name, or by ID number when there is no Photo column.

Yes. Choose "Front & back" to design both sides with separate backgrounds. Back pages are mirrored for duplex printing so each back lines up behind its front, or you can print fronts and backs side by side to fold or laminate.

With 6 mm margins and a 3 mm gap, 10 landscape CR80 cards (2 columns × 5 rows) or 9 portrait cards (3 × 3) fit on an A4 sheet. The print settings show the maximum that fits and let you set your own columns, rows, margins and gap for A4, Letter, Legal or A3 paper.

No. Photos, logos, signatures and backgrounds stay in your browser and are never uploaded. Your spreadsheet is read once to extract the rows and is never saved.
