Create an announcement with a title, type, and description. Attach supporting files or an audio message when the notice needs more explanation. A school trip circular, for example, can include the written instructions and a document for families to refer to.
Select student audiences by division, class, or section, and employee audiences by department or designation. Pin an important announcement so it is easier to find. Comments can be enabled when the school wants discussion around a notice.
Choose a channel that suits the message
Email supports detailed messages and attachments. SMS provides a way to send short text reminders. WhatsApp messaging uses configured templates and their required values, such as a student's name or class.
These tools let the school prepare messages for selected audiences. Email and SMS can use linked guardian contact details, and staff can add or exclude individual addresses or numbers in those two channels. WhatsApp uses the contact numbers recorded for the selected student and employee audiences.
Send short updates through the school app
Mobile push messages support a subject, message, and selected audience. Linked user accounts receive an in-app notification, while registered devices can receive a mobile push alert. Staff can send a test notification to their own account before using the tool for a wider audience.
Publishing an announcement can also trigger email and mobile push notifications when the relevant notification settings and templates are enabled.
Keep communication records available to the office
Saved communication records help staff refer back to message content and audience choices. Announcement view logs let authorised staff review recorded views.
