Built around how schools in Ghana run
InstiKit is already in use by schools in Ghana. A school can set up KG, Basic 1 to 6, JHS 1 to 3 and SHS 1 to 3 with its own classes and terms, and rename labels to match the words its staff and parents use.
Fees with mobile money
Many Ghanaian families pay by mobile money. Schools can collect fees through InstiKit's Hubtel or Paystack integration, using the payment methods enabled on the school's account, which can include mobile money. Every successful payment is recorded against the student's fee and a receipt is generated straight away, while payments made at the school go into the same record.
Fee structures, installments, concessions and late fees are set up per class, so parents always see what is due for the term.
Terminal reports and progress
Teachers enter marks for class tests and end-of-term examinations, and InstiKit produces marksheets from those marks. Parents can follow progress in the mobile app.
Keep parents informed
Absence alerts, fee reminders and announcements reach parents through the mobile app, email and SMS. Schools can send SMS through Twilio or connect a local provider through InstiKit's custom SMS gateway option.
For heads and administrators
Admissions, student records, staff attendance, leave and payroll sit in the same system, so heads and proprietors see enrolment, collections and attendance together.
