Frequently Asked Questions
I am getting a server error during installation.
There can be several reasons why you encounter a server error during installation.
The most common reason is that your server's PHP Max Execution Time is too low. By default, it is often set to 30 seconds. If the installation process takes longer than the configured limit, the request will timeout and result in a server error.
Increase the max_execution_time value in your server's php.ini file.
Another possible reason is that your hosting provider does not allow the script to create symbolic links (symlinks). In this case, contact your hosting provider and ask them to enable symlink creation.
For example, if you are using Hostinger, this restriction may apply and you may need to request their support team to enable it.
You can also bypass the automatic symlink creation by visiting:
https://your-domain.com/app/install?check_symlink=no&skip_symlink=yes
Replace your-domain.com with your actual domain.
After installation, you must manually create the storage symlink for the application to function correctly.
You can also inspect the Laravel log file for additional error details:
storage/logs/laravel.log
I am getting a CSRF Token Mismatch error after installation.
This is not an installation issue.
Simply refresh the page after the installation completes.
The same error may also occur if the page remains inactive for a long period. Refreshing the page will resolve the issue.
My purchase code is showing as invalid. What should I do?

You can either watch the installation video or follow the step-by-step guide below.
Prerequisites
Read this section carefully before installing InstiKit.
If your server does not meet the requirements listed below, the application may not install or function correctly.
Since InstiKit is built using Laravel 11, your server must satisfy all Laravel 11 requirements.
Server Requirements
- PHP >= 8.3
- MySQL >= 8.0
- BCMath PHP Extension
- Ctype PHP Extension
- cURL PHP Extension >= 7.67
- DOM PHP Extension
- Fileinfo PHP Extension
- JSON PHP Extension
- Mbstring PHP Extension
- OpenSSL PHP Extension
- PCRE PHP Extension
- PDO PHP Extension
- Tokenizer PHP Extension
- XML PHP Extension
- GD Image Library
- ZIP Extension
- MySQL Native Driver (mysqlnd)
allow_url_fopenenabled
Writable Files and Directories
The following files and directories must have write permission:
.envstorage/frameworkstorage/logsbootstrap/cachelang
Symbolic Link Support
Your server must allow symbolic link (symlink) creation.
If your hosting provider blocks automatic symlink creation, you will need to create it manually.
Run the following command:
php artisan storage:link
This creates the following symbolic link:
public/storage -> storage/app/public
Authorization Header Support
Your server must support:
- Authorization Header
- Custom HTTP Headers
Some shared hosting providers disable these headers, which may prevent users from logging into the application.
Local Development
If you are installing InstiKit on a local environment using WAMP, XAMPP, or MAMP, it is recommended to configure a Virtual Host instead of accessing the application through localhost.
Also ensure that your PHP cURL installation can locate valid SSL certificates.
Important
Laravel requirements may change with future releases. InstiKit always follows the requirements of the Laravel version used to build that release.
Installation
InstiKit includes all required vendor packages.
You do not need to run Composer commands during installation.
Follow the steps below.
Step 1. Upload the Installation Package
Purchase and download the installation ZIP file from an authorized source.
Upload the ZIP archive to your server.
Live Server
If you are installing on a production server, use either:
- A top-level domain (Example:
yourdomain.com) - A subdomain (Example:
erp.yourdomain.com)
The domain or subdomain must point to the public directory.
If you want to install InstiKit inside a subdirectory, create a subdomain that points to that subdirectory instead.
Local Server
If you are installing locally, use a Virtual Host such as:
domain.test
The Virtual Host should point to the public directory.
There are numerous tutorials available for configuring Virtual Hosts depending on your operating system and web server.
Using IP Address or Port
If you access your local installation using an IP address or a port, update the following variables in your .env file.
Example: 127.0.0.1:8000
APP_URL=http://127.0.0.1:8000
SESSION_DOMAIN=127.0.0.1
SANCTUM_STATEFUL_DOMAINS=127.0.0.1:8000
Example: localhost:3000
APP_URL=http://localhost:3000
SESSION_DOMAIN=localhost
SANCTUM_STATEFUL_DOMAINS=localhost:3000
Extract the ZIP archive into the installation directory.
Open your configured domain or Virtual Host in your browser.
If your server satisfies all prerequisites, you should see the installation wizard.

A green status indicates that all requirements are satisfied.
If any requirement is missing, you will see a red warning describing the issue.
Click Next to continue.
Step 2. Configure Database

Enter your database credentials.
If the application cannot connect to the database, verify the following:
- Database host
- Database name
- Username
- Password
- Database permissions
Important
Use an empty database. InstiKit automatically creates all required tables during installation.
Click Next to continue.
Step 3. Create Administrator Account

Enter the administrator account details.
This account will have full administrative access to the application.
Click Next to continue.
Step 4. Activate Your License

In the final step, enter your license information.
An Access Code is required for every domain or subdomain where InstiKit is installed.
To generate your Access Code:
-
Visit https://scriptmint.com
-
Sign in using:
- Your Envato account (if purchased through Envato), or
- Google, or
- GitHub
-
Open your Licenses page:
-
Register the domain or subdomain where you intend to install InstiKit.
-
Generate the Access Code.
-
Enter your registered email address and the generated Access Code.
-
Click Finish to complete the installation.
Note
Installation usually completes within 30 to 60 seconds.
On low-resource servers, the installation may take up to 5 minutes.
In such cases, ensure that your PHP
max_execution_timeis set to at least 300 seconds.
Installation Complete
After the installation finishes, you will be redirected to the login page.
Refresh the page once before logging in.
During installation, Laravel generates a new application encryption key. Without refreshing the page, you may encounter a CSRF Token Mismatch error.
Once refreshed, you can log in using the administrator account created during installation.
