Lifetime licence FAQ
How is the lifetime licence price calculated?
Lifetime price = number of students × your plan's per-student annual rate × 3. For example, 500 students on the Growth plan (₹150 per student per year) costs ₹2,25,000 + GST, paid once.
Who can buy a lifetime licence?
The lifetime licence is for a single school using InstiKit for its own students, at one campus. It cannot be resold, shared with other schools or used to offer InstiKit to clients. Resellers and partners should see our reseller licences or become an InstiKit partner instead.
Is there a minimum number of students?
Yes. The lifetime licence is billed for a minimum of 500 students. Schools with fewer students pay the price for 500 students on their chosen plan, and can grow up to 500 students at no extra cost.
Is GST included in the price?
No. Prices shown are before GST. 18% GST is added to the final invoice.
What happens if our student strength grows?
You can add more students at any time. Additional students are licensed at the same lifetime rate: extra students × your plan's annual rate × 3.
Can we upgrade to a higher plan later?
Yes. You only pay the difference between the lifetime price of your current plan and the new plan for your licensed students.
Is hosting included, or do we need our own server?
Hosting is included. InstiKit runs on our secure cloud servers with regular backups, so you do not need your own server or IT team.
Do we get new features and updates?
Yes. Updates and new features released for your plan are applied to your school automatically at no extra cost.
When does the lifetime licence pay for itself?
The lifetime price equals 3 years of the annual subscription. From the fourth year onwards, every year you use InstiKit is effectively free compared with renewing.
We have more than 2,000 students or multiple branches. What then?
Larger schools and school groups get a custom Enterprise lifetime quote with multi-branch support, a dedicated account manager and an SLA. Contact our sales team for pricing.
