Bring school transport details into one place
School transport starts well before the first bus leaves. The coordinator needs to know which students use each route, where they board, and which vehicle is assigned. During the day, staff need attendance records and trip information. Vehicle documents and service dates also need attention.
InstiKit brings these tasks into one school transport management system. Routes connect with student records, daily transport attendance, and vehicle details, helping staff find the information they need without checking several registers.
Organise routes and student assignments
Create bus stops and arrange them in order for each route. Assign a vehicle, record route timings, and choose whether the route serves the journey to school, the journey home, or both.
Students can be assigned to a route and stop individually or in groups. Schools can also assign employees to routes and keep vehicle incharge records. Route student lists and class reports help the office check transport arrangements.
Follow daily trips and transport attendance
With transport tracking enabled, authorised staff can start a trip and share location updates. The live view shows the reported vehicle location and the time of the latest update. Parents can view trips linked to their child's assigned route through their permitted access.
Staff record pickup and drop attendance separately. This gives the school a transport register for each journey, alongside the trip information. Tracking depends on the device sending location updates; transport attendance is recorded by staff.
Set transport charges for the service used
Schools can create transport fee groups, called circles, and set separate charges for arrival, departure, and round trips. These charges connect with student fee installments when the transport fee setup and student allocation are completed.
This allows a school to use different fee amounts for different transport groups and journey types.
Keep vehicle records ready for review
Maintain registration, ownership, and seating details for each vehicle. Add document validity dates, fuel purchases, service history, and other expenses as they occur.
Service records can include the next due date and odometer reading. Keeping these details together helps the transport coordinator plan maintenance and review costs with school management.
Explore the transport features
The transport module covers three connected areas: route and student allocation, bus tracking and attendance, and vehicle maintenance records. Schools can use these records together to plan journeys, check daily activity, and manage their fleet.
